Week 14 results

Well guys, the last week of the regular season (short of the confusing Army-Navy game next Saturday) had high stakes and huge bowl implications in most of these games. I am going to call this Slam Dunk Saturday because across the board everyone had super high winning percentages this week. Basically if you picked the trendy pick, you were right. Auburn, Oregon, OU, UConn, VaTech, USC, and Pitt all won as expected. The only reason anyone missed out on some picks were if you had the balls to call an upset (Lee Corso) or if you’re a massive homer for South Carolina (Hi Lou Holtz).

I’ve graded the day below and want to congratulate Oklahoma’s opponent in the Fiesta Bowl because nobody is more overrated in bowl games than Bob Stoops.

Desmond Howard knocked it out of the park with a perfect week, and Mike Bellotti has dethroned Colin Cowherd for the all time lead at the moment. Those guys from the Experts on ESPNU know their stuff apparently.

Friday update

A few quick notes. I’m probably going to put up an ESPNU page to host David Pollack, Tom Luginbill, and this week’s newest addition Coach Mike Bellotti from ESPNU’s “The Experts”. They’re kinda of their own little world and not as widely known so I’ll probably stick them on a page together.

I’m considering adding the guys from Around the Horn to this site but that would be a huge undertaking. Haven’t decided yet.

I’m considering voiding Trevor Matich’s pick in the Iron Bowl last week as well. The week before on College Gameday radio I believe he called for a Bama upset. Then on College Football Live last week he called an Auburn win unless I’m crazy. On 1st and 10 today he was on, and Skip said “You and I both picked Alabama last week”. So WTF? Not really sure what to do.

Going to be a big weekend full of picks and as usual things will be graded and updated Sunday. Here’s a few picks in the meantime.

Week 13, 2010 Results

The scores are in and I’ve graded everyone’s picks below. Boise State losing shook up everyone. Desmond Howard is back to his usual, putting up a 6-8 week and going from top of the Gameday big three to the bottom (Lee Corso is back on top with Herby in the middle). Trevor Matich called Bama over Auburn on the radio last week, but this week on TV he called Auburn over Bama. We’re counting his TV pick because TV overrules radio, and it was a more recent pick. We’re welcoming Tom Luginbill to the rankings but he will be relegated to the misc. page until I get more in from him. He is a former journeyman college QB, pro QB outside the NFL, and coach in about sixteen different leagues along with being a current ESPNU analyst.
