Once again I’m late to the game, as the Cover 3 podcast dropped their bowl locks 2.0 yesterday. The picks below require some additional explanation, because the end of the podcast was somewhat confusing.
Bud Elliott didn’t appear on the actual show presumably because he has a newborn baby which requires his attention. He sent his picks into Chip and Tom and they read some of them throughout the show while analyzing specific games.
Danny Kanell bailed on the last ten minutes of the show because he had to go pick his kids up. He also sent his full slate of picks into Chip and Tom.
Here’s where things got really confusing. They keep a live Google Sheet of their picks to track everything, and apparently Tom had mixed Bud and Danny’s picks together in the spreadsheet. When it came time to review the full slate of picks at the end of the show, Chip had an absolute mess on his hands. I’m not really sure which picks were Danny’s and which were Bud’s. This means Danny and Bud’s picks are likely incomplete below. What I can tell you for sure is this: The picks listed below for Danny are the picks which Danny himself gave out live on the podcast. The picks listed below for Bud were the picks Chip was reading out from Bud’s list as the show progressed. I completely ignored the full review at the end of the podcast because I couldn’t tell what was what.
Use these picks at your own risk. You have been warned.
However, I’m pretty confident the picks listed below are accurate if incomplete.
Last note: Danny has given out differing picks on CBS Sports HQ for some of these games. You decide what to make of it.
Money line sprinkles were given as such: Bud: Houston+115 Chip: VT+140, WVU+160 Tom: UNT+120, AF+100
Here is the second slate of bowl picks from the Stanford Steve and the Bear podcast. If they’re back for another round before the playoffs I’ll be sure to post again. Sorry I’m late to the game but this was posted Wednesday and I had things to do in this holiday season.
