Week 13 2014: Results are in, picks are graded! #cfb #cfbplayoff

Week 13 was a sleepy schedule of games but it appears that it was also a sneaky slate to pick for our panel of sports experts.  We had a lot of mediocre results this week with a few bright spots when it came to predicting the future of this game of college football.

Winners this week include David Pollack (5-3), Phil Steel (10-6), Lou Holtz (3-1 on a wacky slate of games), Jon Berger (4-1), Chris Fallica (3-1), Danny Kanell (4-0), Pat Forde (22-5), Brett McMurphy (5-0)  and the return of Tom Luginbill to our game (6-2).  Our champion of week 13 is going to be Colin Cowherd, who came in at 8-2 picking the full slate of this week’s toughest games.

Losers this week include Lee Corso (6-7), Kirk Herbstreit (6-7),  Booger McFarland (2-3), the entire SEC nation crew including Marcus Spears, Paul Finebaum and the Tim Tebow (1-2), Mark May (1-2), Trevor Matich (1-2), Brian Griese (1-2), and Ryen Russillo (0-2).  This week’s big loser would be NFL draft guru Mel Kiper Jr., who came in at 1-3 on the week.

Lee Corso’s win streak on headgear picks came to an end, as the Yale Bulldogs fell to Harvard on Saturday.  Charley the Cat’s pick of Harvard inches her one game closer to Corso on the year.  Jennifer had a so-so week at 6-5.  This week’s special guest picker Matt Birk was one of the stronger performances of the week as he came in at 7-3.

Everyone else is right smack dab in the middle of this thing on one side or the other, so check out the full slate of results below to find out how your favorite (or most hated) personality did this week.

  1. If Corso did in fact pick Louisville, he should be 5-8, no?

    1. Actually, wait, Louisville won. So the right/wrong is reversed on everyone ELSE for that game.

      1. Wow that’s embarrassing. Someone is going to get fired for that screw up. This will be fixed tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up!
