Week 15 2014: Championship week picks are graded, results are in! #cfb #cfbplayoff

Week 15 promised drama and it delivered after the championship games were complete and the playoff seeding was announced.  You may love it, or you may hate it, but you didn’t come here to see my opinions on the college football playoff.  You came for picks and results, so here they are.

Winners this week include David Pollack (4-0), Greg McElroy (5-0), Lou Holtz (4-1), Stephen A. Smith (5-0), Robert Smith (5-0), Jon Berger (4-1) and Jason Sehorn (5-1).  This week’s champion will be Phil Steele, who got things back on track in a big way after last week, going 10-1 on the week this week.

Losers this week included Todd McShay (1-2), Heather Dinich (0-2), and Brett McMurphy (1-2).  Since nobody had a horrible week, the three of them can share the honor.

Lee Corso went with the underdog road team Kansas State over Baylor for his headgear pick, and that did not work out too well.  Charley the Cat took Baylor, so she gains another game on Corso.  Special guest picker Mike Singletary had a pretty good week at 5-2, but had perhaps the worst pick of all time calling for Iowa State to upset TCU; a game which ended 55-3 in favor of TCU.  Jennifer had another winner this week at 5-3 as well.  Everyone else is somewhere in the middle, so check out the full slate below to see how your favorite (or most hated) personality did this week.

Week 14 2014: College picks are graded; results are up! #cfb #rivalryweek #cfbplayoff

This week we had a wild week of football with a few unexpected results and some big games.  We had some equally wild results in the picking game for week 14 of our college football season.

Winners include Kirk Herbstreit (9-5), Desmond Howard (9-4), Brett McMurphy (6-2), Kevin Carter (5-2), Lou Holtz (5-1), Jon Berger (5-2), Mike Bellotti (5-1), Danny Kanell (4-1), Trevor Matich (4-1), Brad Edwards (4-0), and my wife Jennifer (11-4).  Our undisputed week 14 champion is Jason Sehorn, who put up an impressive 9-1 record picking the big games this week.

Losers this week are honorable mention Mark May (1-3), with Tim Tebow taking the title this week at 3-4.  Things have taken a downturn for the SEC network’s golden boy in recent weeks, and he continues his slide into normalcy.

Special guest picker Joe Namath put up a respectable 6-3 on the week, and we hope to see him back in the future.  Lee Corso nailed the headgear pick going with Alabama over Auburn in the Iron Bowl, while Charley the Cat lost another game on Corso after she chose Auburn.
