Week 1 2025: CFB gambling picks are graded; results are in!

Week 1 of our college football season is in the books and the picks from our gamblers are graded. For simplicity’s sake I’m combining weeks 0 and 1 in these results.

ATS winners this week include Geoff Schwartz (4-0), Bud Elliott (7-3), and Chris “The Bear” Fallica (7-3). However, Dan “Big Cat” Katz of Barstool Sports sprayed the board and went 24-18 to barely squeak out a little more profit than the other leaders this week. Congratulations to Dan Katz on a winning week.

Collin Wilson of the Action Network nailed two money line picks this week for the most profit in the money line picks this week.

Week 1 2025: CFB analyst picks are graded; results are in!

Week 1 of our college football season is in the books, and the picks from our esteemed panel of analysts are graded. As a reminder, these are straight-up picks; not against the spread. I’m also combining week 0 and week 1 for simplicity’s sake.

Winners this week include Danny Kanell (13-2), Richard Johnson (19-4) and Andrea Adelson (13-3). However, this week’s undisputed winner was Tom Fornelli of Cover 3 podcast fame for going 24-2 on his picks this week. Congratulations to Tom on a great winning week.

Lee Corso went 6-0 on his picks this week, including a win in his final headgear selection Ohio State over Texas. He finishes out a wonderful career going 287-144 (66.59%) on his headgear picks and 2383-1243-1 (65.72%) overall. Yes, he tied a game many years ago. Congratulations to Coach Corso on a wonderful career.

2024-25 SEASON: CFB gambling year-end results and awards!

The 2024-25 college football season has come to a close with Ohio State defeating Notre Dame for the championship on Monday night. That means we are now ready to award our own championship for picking college football games as well as hand out some awards.

I am very proud to announce the 2024-25 college football gambling champion is none other than Chris “The Bear” Fallica from Fox Sports. This season he went 84-60-3 against the spread for a profit of 16.28 units on sides/totals, and also profited 15.1 units over 85 picks on the money line this year. His grand total was 31.38 units of profit on his sides, totals and money line picks this year. Congratulations to the Bear on a fantastic year!

Rufus Peabody actually had the largest profit on sides and totals at 20.73 units with his picks on the Bet the Process podcast. He gets the official gold star for going 75% against the number. Joel Klatt was close behind at 63.33% for a profit of 18.82 units, and he will get the official red ribbon. I’m also awarding Collin Wilson and Wes Reynolds with a certificate of recognition for the most profit of all the “volume shooters”.

In the College Gameday Super Dog picks this year, Desmond Howard went 7-5 for the best record against the spread (I don’t keep track of all the point systems they use).
