Week 9 2015: College picks are graded; results are in! #cfb #cfbpicks
Week 9 had some truly exciting finishes including at least one which was controversial to say the least. After a couple of tough weeks for our expert panel of predictors and prognosticators, this week proved to be a bounceback week with some truly great results. Let’s dive right in.
Winners this week were plenty in number, and included Kirk Herbstreit (7-1), Desmond Howard (8-2), David Pollack (5-0), Trevor Matich (9-2, 2-1 ATS), Stanford Steve Coughlin (8-1, 3-1 ATS), Colin Cowherd (5-0), Pat Forde (20-4), Danny Kanell (6-1), Joey Galloway (6-2), and Robert Smith (7-3). Both Jennifer and Booger McFarland might seem like locks for this week’s win, going 11-1 and 8-0 respectively, so they will get this week’s honorable mention because someone managed to top them. None other than Lee Corso showed up big with a 9-0 week this week, proving that he still has it when it comes to picking games. Since Coach Corso probably doesn’t browse the internet blogs too often, tell him he won this week if you know him.
Losers this week were few and far between. Ryen Russillo went 1-2 on the week (0-2 ATS), and Brad Edwards went 3-3 (0-3 ATS). However, this week’s loser is from Scott Van Pelt, who had a “Winners” segment which was disastrous. He went 1-4 against the spread this week, and his four losses weren’t particularly close either. Sorry SVP but this goes on your permanent record.
Corso got back on track this week with his headgear picks; picking Notre Dame over Temple. That might seem like an obvious pick, but hopefully you saw Temple take Notre Dame to the limit Saturday night in a very close game. Our special guest picker, the Philly Phanatic, put up a half-assed 4-3 record this week after wasting our time with an incredibly tiring pick segment on Saturday morning. Jennifer’s only loss this week came on her upset special, while Charley the Cat is also back on track with her Notre Dame pick.
