Week 15 2014: Championship week picks are graded, results are in! #cfb #cfbplayoff

Week 15 promised drama and it delivered after the championship games were complete and the playoff seeding was announced. You may love it, or you may hate it, but you didn’t come here to see my opinions on the college football playoff. You came for picks and results, so here they are.

Winners this week include David Pollack (4-0), Greg McElroy (5-0), Lou Holtz (4-1), Stephen A. Smith (5-0), Robert Smith (5-0), Jon Berger (4-1) and Jason Sehorn (5-1). This week’s champion will be Phil Steele, who got things back on track in a big way after last week, going 10-1 on the week this week.

Losers this week included Todd McShay (1-2), Heather Dinich (0-2), and Brett McMurphy (1-2). Since nobody had a horrible week, the three of them can share the honor.

Lee Corso went with the underdog road team Kansas State over Baylor for his headgear pick, and that did not work out too well. Charley the Cat took Baylor, so she gains another game on Corso. Special guest picker Mike Singletary had a pretty good week at 5-2, but had perhaps the worst pick of all time calling for Iowa State to upset TCU; a game which ended 55-3 in favor of TCU. Jennifer had another winner this week at 5-3 as well. Everyone else is somewhere in the middle, so check out the full slate below to see how your favorite (or most hated) personality did this week.

Week 11 brought us quite the doozy of games on Saturday. The top ten was shaken up pretty big, and on the verge of being totally decimated. It should be interesting to see what this so-called “Playoff Committee” comes up with on Tuesday.

With some big upsets on Saturday, results are all over the place this week. Winners include Lee Corso (8-3), Mack Brown (4-1), Lou Holtz (4-1), Jon Berger (4-1), and since those are the only major winners this week we are awarding them all the win this week.

Losers this week include Skip Bayless (1-2), Scott Van Pelt (0-2), Ryen Russillo (2-3), and Brian Griese (2-3). Since nobody had a horrible week, we will also be awarding all of them the loss this week as a group.

Lee Corso hit a bump in the road this week picking Michigan State as his headgear pick, which brings him to 10-2 on headgear picks for the season. Special guest celebrity picker Alice Cooper had a solid week (as predicted by this expert) and went 8-3 on the week, so he will share in the fictional victory trophy this week. Jennifer went 8-5 on the week, and Charley the Cat went 1-0, making up one game on Coach Corso for the year. The only experts to pick Ohio State this week were Lou Holtz, Todd McShay, Chris Fallica, and Charley the Cat. Phil Steele had a rough week this week at 8-7, which is the worst week I’ve seen him and his computer put up in recent memory. Mack Brown, with a 4-1 record on the week, is above .500 on predictions for the first time in his brief career, so congratulations to Mack. After one brief moment on top of the overall rankings, Greg McElroy has been replaced by newcover Tim Tebow on top of the mountain.
