Week 15 2013: College picks!

It is a bitterly cold Friday outside for much of us, but the picks we have are baked fresh to warm you up this evening.  The slate is a little light due to the limited schedule on championship weekend, but the stakes are still as big as ever with BCS championship spots on the line.  More picks will be coming in later tonight in case you need to stock up on more for the night.

Week 14 2013: College picks are graded, results are posted!

The picks from week 14 of our 2013 college football season have been graded.  It was a pretty slow week in college football but I heard something about the Iron Bowl being good.  Maybe you saw it.  Anyways, here is how all of our guys did.

First and foremost, there were only three brave souls who went out on a limb and picked Auburn to upset the Crimson Tide.  The first expert to pick Auburn was none other than Gameday celebrity guest picker Charles Barkley.  The second expert going with the Tigers was everyone’s favorite personality Skip Bayless, who pulled a quick one on First Take saying “ROLL TIIII-GERS!!!”

However, the best pick of the week was none other than our resident expert picker, Jennifer (10-5 on the week).  She called for Auburn to upset Bama and was confident enough to release it as this week’s upset special.  That is confidence right there.  Todd McShay went 3-2 on the week, but did get his upset special of Duke over UNC.  Brad Edwards continued his rough season on upset specials, losing out on Arizona over Arizona State.  Mark Schlabach went off the grid picking Georgia State over S. Alabama, and he picked wrong.

Winners this week include Lee Corso (7-3) but he missed his headgear pick of Bama over Auburn.  Phil Steele also put up a respectable 7-3 on the week.  Charles Barkley went 6-2 on the week.  Trevor Matich went 5-1 on the week.  Since it was a mediocre week for the winners, I guess they can all split this week’s win.

Losers this week include Desmond Howard (3-3), Dari Nowkhah (5-5), Mike Bellotti (5-5), Mel Kiper Jr. (2-3), Danny Kanell (2-3), and Mark May (2-2).  However, this week’s undisputed winner is none other than Dr. Lou Holtz, who put up an impressive 1-5 record this week.

Week 13 2013: Pick results are in, grades are up!

Our expert analysts have been on quite a roll the last few weeks.  That is now over.  We had a few big upsets this weekend, and because of that, our expert analysts collectively had a pretty rough week.  Only two big winners this week.  Desmond Howard went 6-1, including two FCS games they picked on Gameday.  Tom Luginbill went 9-3 on the week including picking LSU and Okla St.

Losers this week include our celebrity guest picker Marcus Smart at 5-6.  Other losers are Mel Kiper Jr. (2-3), Mark May (1-3), Brian Griese (1-2), Robert Smith (4-4).  We had lots of mediocre performances from some big names this week.  Lee Corso went 8-7 but nailed the upset with his headgear pick of Oklahoma St.  Herbie went 8-7, Cowherd went 7-5, Dari Nowkhah went 6-5.  No Pat Forde this week because he is too busy with Jameis Winston, college basketball, and swimming.

Upset specialist Todd McShay went 3-3, including going 1-1 on upset specials.  Brad Edwards got his upset special and continues to roll in the second half of the season with Vandy over Tennessee this week.  Mark Schlabach took the week off due to the fact that he seems to be in charge of the Jameis Winston reporting for ESPN.  Upset Specialist Jennifer went 6-6 on the week and missed her pick of KState over OU.
