Week 8 2018: #CFB Picks w/ Phil Steele!

Welcome back ladies and gents.  We are back for podcast Wednesday with Phil Steele’s week 8 picks via the Behind the Bets podcast with Doug Kezirian.  I’m not sure if the Oregon pick was an official play, so we’ll see if he mentions it again on Campus Conversation or anywhere else before ruling it official.  They talked some other games, half lines, totals and more so listen to the whole thing if you want some great analysis.  I’ll update between now and Saturday if he puts out any more plays to the public.

Week 7 2018: #CFB Picks are graded; results are in!

Welcome back everyone.  Week 7 brought us some big upsets and some big performances by our expert pickers and prognosticators.  Let’s dive right in.

Winners this week included Stanford Steve (4-1 ATS), Kirk Herbstreit (10-4), Desmond Howard (12-5), Chris Fallica (5-2 ATS), Scott Van Pelt (6-3 ATS), and Dusty Dvoracek (3-1 ATS).  However this week’s big win is going to Phil Steele.  Phil started off to a pretty horrendous start on the year, but for two weeks in a row he has blown the competition away.  Phil Steele went 10-1 straight up and 14-3 against the spread this week!  For those of you keeping track at home, his FCS picks against the spread have been on fire the last two weeks so pay attention if he puts them out this week.

Losers this week include Danny Kanell (2-6 straight up, 3-4 ATS), Houston Nutt (3-4), Rufus Peabody (1-4 ATS), Brett McMurphy (2-3 ATS), and Jeff Ma (2-3 ATS).  However this week’s loss couldn’t go to anyone else but Pat Forde, who went 2-4 straight up but a pretty sad 0-6 against the spread.  That’s gotta sting, especially if Pat is betting those picks.

Lee Corso had a tough week this week going 6-8 on his picks and losing his headgear pick Wisconsin over Michigan.  Special guest celebrities the Chainsmokers went 9-5 on the week despite the fact that they seem to have never watched an actual football game between them.  Bear’s Bank went 1-1-1 on the official Gameday picks this week.  @GamedayJen booked another winner at 12-6 on the week.  Everyone else you can find below so check out the full results to see how your favorite (or most hated) personality did this week.
